Re: Good SKI CUT video
Avalanches are capable of making a variety of sounds. Im not sure what caused that pop, but it was not an explosive.

I want to do it one of these days. But not sunday. I will probably be skiing or catching up on work due to skiing. I am also thinking that it is not the best idea to practice with beacons (not attached to humans) in avalanche terrain or underneath it, especially after or during this up coming storm....

Do some multi burial practice, also would like to do some searches for beacons that are actually buried kind of de...

Interesting conditions up there at the ski area, but none the less some really nice creamy skiing. I first skied Avalanche Bowl this year on Monday the 15th. I did it with caution, as I recognized its potential. I was inspiered to ski it because of an image in my head of three tracks going down it f...

Sounds like it must be tons of fun up there lately and throughout this season. Some nice pictures of the Nambe in the snow reports section. I am jealous though because I injured mysefl in Montana at the start of the season and havent been able to do much (like nothing at all) since then. Anyways tha...

Back in NM after having spent the last few years, studying, traveling, and mostly skiing I was so excited to put some of my backcountry skills to the test in the Sangres. We had many succesful missions around the Nambe area and was having a great time exploring my home mountains. It was something li...

Lost gear in Nambe
Anybody still out there skiing? If so I hope it is good. I am back up in the big sky state, but in mid winter I lost a bit of gear in the Nambe Chutes. I supppose it should be melting out about now. I was just hoping that if anybody finds any gear that looks a bit out of place at the bottom of the b...
