WEEKENDS IN TAOS, WILLIAMS LAKE, BULL OF THE WOODS

Postby dkmtnbkr » Thu Jan 03, 2013 10:21 am

I am commited to being in Taos every Saturday in Janurary throught the first weekend in February while my son is attending the Shreders program. I would like to organize a group to safely ski into some of the TSV backcountry areas. I have equipment and AIARE L1 certified. Let me know if anyone out there is interested or an estiblished goup that I can hook up with.

Hey there Dax,
Happy new year! I'm mostly out of town for the next month but I will be around the weekend of Jan 26-27. It would be great to do a little lift served plus some bc at Taos with you.

I usually end up working on Saturdays but if I don't I'm down to tour with new friends. Also have a couple friends who ski in the Wilderness just about every day and know this area as well as anyone, maybe can get you guys in touch. I'll message you guys my phone number.

Who wants to climb & ski Friday (2/8) near TSV? I skied Sin Nombre on Sunday. LFP and Vallecitos look like they have enough coverage. --Kerry 505-463-8434

Planning on both 5th and 8th in TSV area. Ideas include ski-running to Red River and back on Fri, and skiing Vallecitos on Mon, all depending upon a good freeze. May also just keep to the Williams drainage depending on who'd like to go. PM or post here if interested.

Ughh, I wish I could make it back up there tomorrow! I went to TSV for closing day. From the top of Kachina this afternoon, the entire drainage looked very nice...

Dan, wish I could join you. There's plenty of snow.
I'm planning to ski TSV area on the Fri & Sun of Memorial Day weekend.

Good for you! I expect there's a little fresh snow. My son and I are headed to Durango for a long weekend of soccer and skiing.
