Santa Fe Baldy

Postby cmcquade » Fri Feb 26, 2010 12:56 pm

Planning on touring the Baldy area either saturday or sunday. Has anyone eyed the chutes coming off of baldy's east face. I have been in nambe and heavens this season, however unfmailiar with the snowpack near baldy, its exposure to wind and radiation always make for differing conditions compared to HH and nambe. I saw graysons' pit data low on baldy's south face, however that was prior to the last big dumps. Anyone been near baldy of late?

Very nice, chuck - and a nice snow report as well.

I love that chute. Stout cornices (cornii?). Thanks for the posts!
