Pretty innovative ideas coming out. I know that Northern Escapes is requiring all heliskiers on their trips to use these:

I've been sort of following the avy air bag development. I'm a lot more interested in these things than I am in Avalungs.
If they get the weight, price, availability, and reliability all squared away I'm likely to get one.

In the day pack review in the last issue of Backcountry magazine they said that it will be $499. |
