Dan and I did a little car-lap up at Sandia yesterday
and I wanted to do our first snow report!
The storm on the 27th left about 10'' of new snow up there.
We skinned over on the service road at Ellis trailhead.
We saw a few young snow boarders that had made a few jumps around the
gravel pit area.
We skied down Aspen View trail and measured about 20'' of good snow
near the top. The snow was 2 layered and kind of heavy and not too easy
to turn in. The Southern edges were best.
All in all, it was fun to start the season so early at Sandia.
