A foot came in yesterday, so Mark Mortier and I decided to go check it out at the basin. Mostly on principle. It's October, so that means you pretty much have to go if you can.
Equipment: rock skis, dogs, sense of humor.
Conditions were slow, sticky, and shallow—but white! We tried to hit only soft rocks, and did a pretty good job.
But yeah, we got some.
